Job Summary:

We are looking for a confident and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in leading the clinical and care teams. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring high standards of care, and maintaining full compliance with CQC and company policies. This is a leadership role suited for a skilled Registered Nurse passionate about elderly and dementia care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Home Manager in managing and developing the care home.

  • Lead and manage the clinical team, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.

  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and regular reviews of residents' health.

  • Ensure safe medication administration and accurate record keeping.

  • Monitor compliance with clinical governance, safeguarding, and infection control policies.

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement activities.

  • Mentor and supervise nurses and care staff, fostering a positive team environment.

  • Act as the senior point of contact in the managers absence.

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals.

Essential Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.

  • Prior experience in a senior nursing or deputy role in a care home setting.

  • Excellent clinical knowledge and leadership skills.

  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and person-centred care.

  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and team management abilities.

  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
