We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Skills Trainer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract (2 days per week: Mondays and Tuesdays), delivering training to one of our valued NHS clients in the North West.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, hands-on clinical skills training sessions in partnership with the trust’s internal team. The role requires a strong understanding of:
• Anatomy and physiology of the vascular system
• Safe and accurate IV placement (supported by manikin training)
• Venepuncture and IV cannulation techniques
• Common clinical pitfalls and best practices in a real-world setting
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can confidently deliver training with minimal onboarding you will receive two shadow sessions before taking the lead.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates with:
• A strong clinical background in ICU, Vascular Access, or Phlebotomy
• Registration as a Nurse, Midwife, ODP, or Paramedic
• Teaching or supervisory experience (ideally holding a Level 3 teaching qualification such as AET or PTLLS)
• Practical experience using a range of equipment (particularly BD Nexiva/Posiflush and Monovette systems)
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and a high degree of autonomy
