Salary: £24 Paid Breaks

Location: Manchester

Hours: 42-48 hours (Every other weekend - Long days, full supernumerary but flexible)


About the Role:

Are you a motivated and experienced deputy manager ready to take on a new leadership role? We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Nurse Manager to join our clients Nursing Home in Manchester. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while overseeing the daily operations of the care home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the care team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conduct regular staff appraisals, mentoring team members and encouraging professional development.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive working environment that fosters collaboration and excellence.
  • Care Oversight:
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of person-centred care plans, ensuring they reflect each resident's unique needs and preferences.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered throughout the home.
  • Compliance & Record Management:
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records in line with company policies, NMC guidelines, and GDPR regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory standards, conducting audits and quality assurance checks.
  • Medication Oversight:
  • Supervise the safe administration and documentation of medications, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of medication processes and storage.
  • Resident Wellbeing:
  • Support initiatives that enhance residents' quality of life, encouraging participation in engaging and meaningful activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents and families, ensuring their concerns and preferences are addressed with sensitivity.
  • Professional Collaboration:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and effective resident care.
  • Represent the home professionally during inspections, reviews, and external assessments.


About You:

  • Qualifications: You must be a Registered Nurse (RGN orRMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Experience: A proven track record in a leadership role within a nursing home or similar environment is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational abilities with strong communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in adult care.
  • A passion for improving residents' lives and delivering outstanding care.
  • Availability: Ability to work standard business hours, Monday to Friday, in a supernumerary capacity.
