Job description
We are currently seeking a Locum GP with prison clearance to support healthcare services within a secure environment in Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident and adaptable GP to work in a unique clinical setting, delivering essential care to an often underserved population.
The role offers £100 per hour, with both long-term and ad hoc bookings available to suit your availability. There are flexible shift patterns, including full days and evening sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Run clinics and provide holistic, patient-centred care to a diverse prison population
Conduct segregation rounds
- Admin
Work collaboratively with mental health, substance misuse, and nursing teams
Participate in MDTs and contribute to continuity of care and risk management
Support education, safeguarding, and health promotion initiatives within the prison
About You:
- GMC registered with a license to practise
- MRCGP or equivalent
- Experience in secure environments, urgent care, or complex needs (desirable but not essential)
