Job Title: General Practitioner (Prison Healthcare)
Locations: Liverpool (Additional Locations at - Haverigg and Durham)
Pay Rate: Up to £85 per hour (LTD)
Clearance Required: Prison vetting
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and dedicated General Practitioners to support healthcare services within prison settings across Haverigg, Durham, and Liverpool. This is an opportunity to deliver high-quality primary care in a secure and structured environment, working alongside a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general medical services including chronic disease management, urgent care, and health assessments
- Deliver care with a focus on mental health, substance misuse, and long-term condition management
- Work collaboratively with nursing, mental health, and allied health professionals
- Promote health and wellbeing through screening and education
Requirements:
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and license to practise
- Experience in secure or complex care environments preferred, but not essential
- Must be eligible for or hold current prison clearance (we can assist with the process)
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
