We are currently recruiting Bank (as-needed) Home Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-led care across Edinburgh. This flexible role is ideal if you're looking for work that fits around your other commitments - you choose your own availability, with a minimum of just 12 hours per month.
What You Can Expect From Us
  • Weekly Pay: £12.60 per hour on weekdays
    Up to £14.25 per hour on weekends
    • 12.07% holiday pay, paid on top of your hourly rate (so you'll earn £14.12 - £15.96 per hour including holiday uplift)
  • Flexible Shifts: Choose from Morning (07:00-14:00) or Evening (16:00-22:00) - you tell us your availability
  • Training & Development: You'll receive robust, fully paid induction training and opportunities for ongoing development, including support with SSSC registration and SVQs
  • Meaningful Work: Be part of a team delivering truly person-centred care, following the Health and Social Care Standards Scotland

  • Mileage Paid: Travel between clients is reimbursed
Your Role Will Include:
  • Delivering compassionate, respectful personal care to people in their own homes
  • Supporting with daily living tasks like medication prompts, meal preparation, mobility, and household routines
  • Promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times
  • Supporting clients with a range of needs, including learning disabilities and long-term conditions
  • Communicating clearly and recording care in line with professional standards
What You'll Bring:
  • A caring, reliable, and person-centred approach to care
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of care in line with Scottish values of compassion and respect
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Flexibility to work some mornings, evenings, or weekends based on the hours you choose
  • Previous care experience is welcome, but not essential - we provide everything you need to feel confident in your role
