Independent Prescriber - Bournemouth

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Independent Prescriber Pharmacist to join a lovely team in Bournemout. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the management of minor ailments, long-term conditions, and medicines optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent clinical assessments and issue prescriptions within your clinical competence.

• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care pathways.

• Lead on medicines optimisation initiatives, including medication reviews and audits.

• Support the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and COPD.

• Provide expert advice to patients on the safe use of medicines.

• Contribute to staff training and the development of prescribing protocols.

Requirements:

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

• Independent Prescriber qualification.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or prescribing role.
