Contract: Full Time (40 hours/week – 2x12hr shifts & 2x8hr office days)

Salary: £50,519 per annum

Deputy Care Manager (RGN/RMN/RNLD) – Nurse Qualified

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified nurse to step into a Deputy Care Manager role within a specialist care setting in Sheffield.

This 6-bed service provides support for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a homely, community-focused environment.

The Role:

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service. Your focus will be on clinical leadership, ensuring safe, responsive, and effective care. The position offers a varied work week combining clinical shifts with office-based management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and maintain clinical accountability across the home
  • Support the Home Manager with operational leadership and regulatory compliance
  • Lead the clinical team and act as a role model for best practice in complex care
  • Manage safeguarding concerns and quality assurance systems
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including CHC, CCGs, NHS Trusts, and local authorities
  • Participate in on-call rota and occasional weekend shifts for oversight and audits

About You:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active NMC PIN
  • Minimum of 3 years' management experience in a complex care or similar environment
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional care in a small, person-led setting
  • Strong communicator with a can-do, hands-on leadership style
  • Confident in quality monitoring, risk management, and regulatory standards
