Frazer Jones are delighted to be supporting a renowned Financial Services client who specialise in banking, risk, asset management, and capital solutions on the growth of their People and Culture team here in London. This is a pivotal role, as a Occupational Health Manager to deliver outstanding occupational health services that support their colleagues to thrive at work.


This role works incredibly closely with all aspects of the HR lifecycle and employees providing health assessments, managing relationships with external providers, advising on HR-related aspects of the workplace and supporting colleagues with tailored solutions to help them perform at their best.


The successful candidate will hold several years of experience in this space; experience as a registered nurse or other health professional is desirable. Strong knowledge of employment and health and safety laws is a must. Expertise working in an everchanging Financial Services environment is key.


Responsibilities

  • Develop tailored solutions to overcome these barriers, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all employees
  • Conduct individual assessments to determine the specific health and wellbeing needs of employees
  • Manage individual cases of long-term illness absence, including maintaining communication and support channels as appropriate Providing support and advice to our business
  • Advise management on individual health cases, including managing reasonable adjustments, return to work and illness absences
  • Collaborate with management and HR to align occupational health programs with the organisation's goals and objectives
  • Manage group income protection insurance claims and work with Benefits colleagues on trends and insights to assist with policy renewals and negotiations
  • Managing WHS framework, including hazard identification and risk mitigation, first aid, ergonomics and psychological health and safety
  • Provide analysis, specialist knowledge and advice on current trends, research, and evidence to evolve internal work health and safety frameworks
  • Manage reporting and governance activities, including reviewing, analysing, and developing both internal and external compliance and regulatory reports.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in occupational health or a related field in Financial or Professional Services
  • Proven ability to deliver occupational health services in a corporate setting including managing health programs, assessments, health promotion, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Experience as a registered nurse or other health professional, e.g. occupational therapist, physiotherapist, psychologist, with occupational health qualification desirable
  • Strong knowledge of employment and health and safety laws
