We are currently seeking an experienced and innovativeSenior Occupational Therapistto join a progressive and forward-thinking mental health hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role with real scope for service development and creativity, with the autonomy to implement new ideas that will directly impact patient engagement and outcomes.
Key Details:Hours:30 hours per week
Were open to structuring this as 3 x 10-hour shifts or standard shifts between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
Fixed working days can be arranged to suit the right candidate.
Potential for full-time hours depending on applicant.
The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary therapy team including:
1 x Newly Qualified OT
2 x Therapy Assistants
2 x Activity Coordinators
Youll report directly into the Head of Therapies and will work across wards supporting patients with:
Drug-induced schizophrenia
Bipolar disorder
ADHD
Autism
All patients are engaged in long-stay rehabilitation plans, and the hospital promotes an active, recovery-focused environmentwith features like apatient-led café on site, showcasing the outcomes of therapeutic engagement in real time.
What Were Looking For:Minimum 2 years post-grad experience
Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in assessments and service user engagement
A proactive mindset with a passion for developing creative therapy pathways and driving service improvement
