Occupational Therapist
- Hourly rate: £38.00 per hour Monday to Friday
- Location: Windsor and Maidenhead
- Job Type: Full-time, occasional weekend shifts required in some teams
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide a focused assessment service to adults with physical disabilities or age-related problems. This role is integral to delivering person-centred, outcome-focused services that emphasise independence and recovery. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with health professionals and agencies to ensure safe and timely discharges from hospital and community-based step-down beds.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver a professional Occupational Therapy / Reablement Service, managing a caseload of complex, high-risk cases.
- Conduct comprehensive, strength-based assessments to create personalised interventions in line with national legislation and local policies.
- Assess and provide equipment and adaptations to maximise independence and optimise the quality of life for individuals and their carers.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to prevent hospital admissions and facilitate timely discharges.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, carers, and other professionals to coordinate a response to needs.
- BSc (Hons) or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Membership with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
- Experience working with vulnerable adults in community settings, hospitals, or residential care environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conditions common in adult social care.
- Competence in using specialist equipment and Assistive Technology.
