Occupational Therapist Community Mental Health
Location: Bristol
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £40,000£50,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking a new challenge? Our client is looking for a committed and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their Specialist Mental Health Division in Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Occupational Therapist to work with individuals who have experienced trauma and present with complex mental health needs. The role focuses on delivering community-based interventions that promote recovery, independence, and improved quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred occupational therapy interventions in community settings
  • Provide clinical guidance to support staff and contribute to care planning
  • Assess service users functional needs and develop individualised treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support
  • Promote recovery, independence, and skill-building in daily living
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain CQC compliance

Requirements:
  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience
  • Experience supporting individuals with trauma and complex mental health needs
  • Background in community-based mental health services preferred
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic models and mental health legislation
  • Confident in managing caseloads and leading practice within a team
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
