Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Prison Cleared GP to join the clinical team supporting healthcare services within a secure environment in Stafford. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a Locum GP who thrives in dynamic settings and is confident working with complex cases. You'll be delivering high-quality primary care to patients with a wide range of physical, mental health, and substance misuse needs, helping to make a genuine difference to an often underrepresented population.
Key Details:
- £100 per hour (via Umbrella)
- Locum GP
- 3 days per week
- Run clinics and deliver holistic, patient-centred care to a diverse prison population
- Conduct segregation rounds and complete administrative duties
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, mental health, and substance misuse services
- Participate in MDTs and contribute to continuity of care and risk management
- Support education, safeguarding, and health promotion initiatives within the prison
About You:
- GMC Registered with a full licence to practise
- Prison Cleared GP (essential)
- Previous experience in secure environments or urgent care settings preferred
