Senior Care Assistant - Care Home

We are a 25 bed care home, our residents have a range of conditions from Parkinson's to Dementia.We are looking for experienced Senior Carers to join our friendly, dedicated team.The role will involve medication administration, including insulin administration, libre sensor readings, delegating medical observations such as blood pressure, temperature etc.Managing and running a shift to ensure all actions are completed in a timely manner, this includes allocating staff to single and double handed care, allocating baths and showers, ensuring mealtimes run smoothly, report any stock that is running low for residents, entering information onto our computerised care system, ensuring residents receive ample food and fluids, ensuring residents receive personal centered care.Dealing with families, other healthcare professionals and visitors, demonstrating empathy, dignity and care to our residents, working closely with manager and assistant manager, attending senior meetings, reviewing care plans, medication management.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a senior carer within a residential care home setting, have excellent spoken and written skills in English, be a team player, be able to work under their own initiative, have strong leadership skills, be able to work under pressure, have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate empathy and understanding to resident's, their families and team members.
Candidate must either drive or live local to Southminster area
