Speech and Language Therapist

A leading neurorehabilitation service in Southampton is seeking a dynamic and experienced Speech & LanguageTherapist to join its multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician with a passion for neuro care to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

As a Speech & Language Therapist in this specialist setting, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation journey of patients with complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurodegenerative disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to individual goals

• Assess, plan, and implement personalised rehabilitation programmes focused on functional independence

• Work collaboratively with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and nursing staff as part of a dedicated MDT

• Provide specialist advice on equipment, adaptations, and discharge planning

• Participate in service development, audits, and clinical supervision activities

• HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist

• Proven experience in neurological rehabilitation (hospital / residential home or community-based)

• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills

• A proactive, patient-centred approach with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
