ABOUT THE ROLE
I am a gentleman, looking for a support worker to join my existing team, supporting me in my own home for 24-48 hours per week which is inclusive of sleep shifts. I have Cerebral Palsy and consider myself to have a good sense of humor and a fun-loving nature.
I require support with all daily living tasks, including but not limited to personal care, support with my PEG which includes medication administration, housework, oral suctioning and moving and handling. I am non-verbal however, communicate through a word board, body language and facial expressions.
ABOUT YOU
I am looking for individuals with a caring, patient nature to join my team and get to know me, understanding my needs. You need to be honest, calm and have a good sense of humor and a zest for life. Being a good English speaker is essential for this post and although training and previous experience will be an advantage it is not essential, as full training will be provided.
