We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our ever-growing team, to support a young man with learning difficulties and Autism in Kettering (NN16). The client has a great sense of humour and is full of energy, no 2 days are the same! Our client loves going out for lunch, going to the cinema and bowling, he likes to do his weekly food shop at the local supermarket and has a full schedule. Our client likes to be involved in preparing his own meals and enjoys to cook. If youre spontaneous, reliable and have a great sense of humour this is the role for you. Working for New Horizons Care you will be working in a welcoming, supportive and friendly environment you will be providing assistance with everyday living tasks and ensuring she is involved with day to day activities to empower her to live her life to the fullest, as well as your understanding of the principles of dignity and respect, will be key in following routines, carrying out set care plans, and recording and monitoring changes in behaviour. Full support and training will be provided.
This vacancy is part time 8AM 8PM or 8PM-8AM (Waking Night). (We would be open to negotiate which day(s) of the week for the right candidate however you would need to commit to a template of at least one set day per week) and be available to cover holidays and sickness within the team
Due to our clients need as full UK Droving Licence is preferable
You will need to follow key principles to obtain the clients respect and dignity
You will be a keen routine follower
You will abide by the clients Care Plan
You will have a clam and friendly approach
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the independence of our clients.
