Ask Jules are recruiting for a Waking Nights Personal Care Assistant for our client based inPortsmouth who is looking for compassionate individuals to join their current team of PAs.This is a great opportunity to help make a positive impact on a young adults life.
Start: ASAPRota: 9pm-9amLocation: Portsmouth, PO5Pay: £12.86 per hour including double upsFree accommodation whilst on shiftHolidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
A Full UK Driving licence is essential for this position to drive our client's vehicle

About our Client:Our client is a 29-year-old male who has a physical disability, Spinal Muscular Atrophy(SMA) Type II. You will be required to work as part of a team of PAs who provide 24/7 careand support.Our client is confident in his own ability and lives independently with support in:
Personal Care Health Care Social Support Daily Living House Keeping Night Time Care
You will be required to provide the highest quality of care and access to community(shopping, events, appointments etc). Our client has a gastrostomy, medicationmanagement, non-invasive night time ventilation, secretion management as well as needsregarding assistance with domestic tasks. He knows what needs to be done and will directyou.
As written by the client...I am looking for staff that can help me achieve day to day living tasks with a great attitudetowards life. Help me discover new things/activities and work towards enabling my ownpersonal agency.I can work with many types of people and reflect the energy of the person I am with. Thisisnt to say that I am without personality or self-identity, more that I enjoy as equal arelationship as is achievable with other people. Im often told Im easy going with a goodsense of humour. My interests include good food, learning about the world, film, media andvideo games. I also have a BSc in Biology & a MSc in Biotechnology from the University ofPortsmouth.
Qualifications and Requirements:A full and clean UK driving license (Essential)Confident driver as you will be expected to drive the clients vehicle Excellent senseof humour and ability to not take life too seriously (Essential)Physical fitness for transfersA caring and patient natureFlexible and gentleStrong of character and moralsStrong communication and listening skillsMature and responsible attitudeFluent in EnglishClean and tidy appearance
