Job Description Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a HCPC Registered Rotational Occupational Therapist.
In joining our team as a Rotational Occupational Therapist, you will work in a variety of settings as part of a rotation in community services across the CAMHS Intensive Support Team , CAMHS Learning Disability Team and CYP Autism Service.
You will work with multi-disciplinary teams/agencies in addressing a range of care/support issues across the spectrum of conditions, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions, supporting timely discharges and improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people.
Delivering occupational therapy assessment and interventions in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified group of young people experiencing mental health related difficulties
All newly qualified clinical staff are required to complete their preceptorship during the first 12 months of employment. We offer a competency framework which supports your development and career journey from a Band 5 to a Band 6, with Band 6 oppourtunities available upon successful completion.
As part of this role, you will be required to travel across wide geographical area and have access to a car, with valid driving licence and business insurance. Be an Occupational Therapist &amp; have a professional &amp; clinical knowledge in the assessment &amp; management of the needs of children &amp; young people in your care.
Be responsible for a defined population of service users.
Be skilled in the assessment of the occupational needs of service users &amp; in the development, implementation &amp; evaluation of support/treatment packages.
Demonstrate initiative &amp; be creative in finding solutions to problems.
Work with the team leader undertaking delegated tasks as required
To adhere to and apply the Health and Care Professions Council’s (HCPC) standards of proficiency for Occupational Therapists &amp; the standards of conduct, performance &amp; ethics and all other relevant guidance from the HCPC, Royal College of Occupational Therapy (RCOT) &amp; the Partnership Trust. To be professionally accountable &amp; responsible for all aspects of own work.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships both within the Partnership Trust &amp; with external organisations in order to meet service requirements and support and demonstrate the Trust’s equality values.
To assess service user’s needs and formulate, develop, implement &amp; evaluate programmes of treatment /support for children, young people, families and carers. Contract

Qualifications Essential criteria
Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent &amp; Registration with HCPC
All newly qualified clinical/social work staff are required to complete their preceptorship/ASYE during the first 12 months of employment.
Desirable criteria
Registered mentor/ supervisor
Psychological intervention Qualification including EMDR, CBT, CBTp, Family Interventions, CAT, DBT Phlebotomy training NVR, Solution focus therapy, Positive Behaviour Support Planning. Experience Essential criteria
Experience of working with people presenting with mental health needs in the community
Experience of assessing, planning, co-ordinating and managing people with mental health problems in a community setting.
Desirable criteria
Experience of working in community setting and making decisions autonomously
Experience of working with children and families who have complex mental health and systemic needs.
