Job description
We are recruiting on behalf of a respected healthcare provider for an experienced Audiologist with UK NHS experience to join their team in Islington. The successful candidate will deliver diagnostic hearing assessments and support ENT and GP‑led pathways across a collaborative and patient‑centred service.
This position offers flexibility, with up to 4-5 days per week available and core working hours from 09:00 to 17:00. It is offered on a part‑time or full‑time basis, with a competitive salary depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out diagnostic hearing tests for patients with ENT conditions, including:
1. Audiogram
2. Tympanogram
3. Pure tone air and bone conduction
4. Masking
- Refer promptly to ENT GPwERs or secondary care when clinically appropriate.
- Maintain strong communication with referring GPs to support coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to the organisation's Significant Event Analysis and incident reporting procedures.
- Undertake relevant clinical investigations and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
- Liaise with local Audiology and ENT Services as referenced in referral pathway guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with commissioners and secondary care clinicians to develop the Patient Care Pathway.
- Deliver care in line with ENT Intermediate Service contract specifications.
Requirements
- HCPC registration or equivalent qualification in Audiology.
- Minimum one year of UK NHS experience, ideally within ENT or Audiology.
- Excellent communication and record‑keeping skills.
- Commitment to clinical quality, governance, and continuous improvement.
