Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled GPhC-registered Clinical Pharmacist, located near Taunton, with 2 years' experience and primary care exposure to make a real difference in a dynamic GP setting, offering £60,000 per annum for this full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage primary care prescribing, including medicines optimisation, structured medication reviews (SMRs), and repeat prescription reauthorisation to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team to improve prescribing safety and patient outcomes.
  • Support quality improvement through audits, risk stratification, formulary management, and adherence to national guidance like MHRA alerts and antimicrobial stewardship.

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' post-registration pharmacy experience, ideally with demonstrable primary care experience.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm or equivalent).
