Job description
We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our client in Stockport. In this role, you will be pivotal in delivering comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for men experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.
You must be GMC-registered and have completed specialist training in psychiatry.
Role overview:
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, coordinated care
Participate in regular clinical reviews
Provide expert advice and support to colleagues
Formulate and oversee treatment plans
Take clinical responsibility for patients on the male ward, including leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, conducting risk and strategic reviews, and fostering a therapeutic environment
Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983
Supervise referral and admission processes, including contributing to pre-admission assessments of young people alongside other team members
Offer psychiatric expertise to the multidisciplinary team regarding assessment, formulation, and treatment of adult male patients
