Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist CAMHS to join a specialist mental health service in Great Waltham on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for an experienced CAMHS Consultant who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs, while contributing to a positive, forward-thinking clinical culture.
Role Overview
- Take overall clinical responsibility for a defined CAMHS caseload.
- Lead on specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents with complex mental health presentations.
- Provide expert consultation, guidance, and leadership to the multidisciplinary team, supporting safe, effective, and person-centred care.
- Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register.
- CAMHS CCT or equivalent CESR in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Approved Clinician status.
- Experience working within CAMHS inpatient and/or community settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and MDT working skills.
