Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our client's team in Clifton, providing expert care across both Rehabilitation and Adult Acute services.
In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults with a wide range of complex mental health conditions, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic and person centred care in both acute and rehab settings.
Essential Requirements:
Full GMC registration
Completion of specialist training in psychiatry
Eligibility to act as a Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act 1983
Role Responsibilities:
Take clinical responsibility for a defined group of patients
Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic planning meetings
Formulate, oversee, and regularly review comprehensive treatment plans
Provide expert psychiatric input to the wider clinical team
Supervise referrals, admissions, and pre-admission assessments
Act as the Responsible Clinician for detained patients under the Mental Health Act
Contribute to a positive and therapeutic ward environment
Participate in ongoing service development and quality improvement initiatives
