️ Optometrist - Cataract Pre-Assessment Clinics (Highland Region)
Location: Highland Region, Scotland
Schedule: Weekends, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
Rate: £500 per day (plus accommodation available if required)We are seeking skilled Optometrists to deliver cataract pre-assessment clinics in the Highlands. This service supports adult patients preparing for cataract surgery and ensures a seamless patient journey from assessment to treatment.
Clinic Details:
- Weekends, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
- Adult-only clinics
- £500 per day per optometrist
- Accommodation available via Synaptik's corporate account (due to remote location)
Working Environment:
You'll work alongside experienced local nurses, who provide continuity and support with NTC knowledge. Nurses will assist with:
- Biometry
- Patient history taking
- Dilation and intraocular pressure checks
Optometrist Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cataract pre-assessments
- Dictate clinic letters and document findings
- Refer patients for cataract procedures (including bilateral cases if appropriate) or to alternative pathways (e.g. glaucoma)
- Obtain patient consent for cataract surgery during the pre-assessment clinic
