Job description
A friendly and well-established client in Blackpool is looking for a dedicated Child Psychiatrist to deliver remote ASD and ADHD assessments for children and adolescents. In this role, you will assess children referred for neurodevelopmental concerns, review educational and behavioural information, and produce detailed clinical reports that inform care planning, treatment, and educational support.
This position offers flexible working arrangements, enabling Consultants to balance clinical commitments with other professional or personal priorities. You will be fully supported by the client's governance structure, administrative team, and multidisciplinary framework, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct structured ASD and ADHD assessments for children and adolescents.
Gather and review information from parents, carers, schools, and other relevant agencies.
Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports with clear clinical recommendations.
Advise on care pathways, treatment planning, and educational support.
Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions as required.
Maintain high standards of professional practice, record-keeping, and confidentiality.
Adapt workload and session scheduling according to personal availability and service needs.
Requirements
GMC Specialist Registration - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Demonstrable experience in ASD and ADHD assessment.
Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently within a remote clinical framework.
Right to work in the UK.
