Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to join a dynamic inpatient mental health service in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team providing care to individuals experiencing mental health crises, including conditions such as psychosis, mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, and trauma.
You'll work alongside Consultant Psychiatrists, Mental Health Nurses, Therapists, and fellow Specialty Doctors to deliver individualised, person-centred care with a focus on recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Requirements:
Support the assessment and implementation of personalised care plans
Conduct psychiatric assessments under Consultant supervision
Collaborate in the management of Care Programme Approach (CPA) plans
Prepare discharge summaries, risk assessments, and medical reports
Engage in professional development and Clinical Governance activities
Participate in non-clinical duties, CPD, and research within your contracted hours
Provide medical cover as part of a rota, including on-call responsibilities
Interested?
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Full GMC registration with a valid license to practice in the UK
In good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for CPD, with a recent appraisal or RITA
CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in Psychiatry (desirable)
Experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings with individuals facing complex mental health challenges
