Job description
A well-established diagnostic imaging service in Portsmouth is seeking an experienced General Sonographer to support ultrasound services within a modern outpatient clinic.
You will perform a range of general ultrasound examinations including abdominal, pelvic, and small parts imaging, working alongside consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver accurate, patient-centred diagnostic imaging. This role offers excellent day rates, flexible clinics, and access to high-quality ultrasound systems within a supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, and small parts scans
- Produce clear and accurate diagnostic reports
- Work collaboratively with consultants, GPs, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain excellent patient care and communication standards
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation and imaging records
- Follow clinical governance, compliance, and best-practice ultrasound protocols
