Job description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine to join a well-organised clinical service in Wigan. Starting mid-June, this role offers a structured outpatient setting with flexible working days, protected administrative time, and a manageable, patient-focused workload.
Key details:
- June start
- 4 days per week
- Flexible
- 30-minute patient appointment slots
- 30 minutes protected admin time at the end of each clinic
- Occasional complex patient reviews or community-based visits where required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality GUM outpatient consultations
- Diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of genitourinary conditions
- Provide sexual health screening, treatment, and follow-up care
- Develop and implement patient-centred management plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Essential Requirements:
- GMC Specialist Register (GUM, CCT, CESR or equivalent)
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- Proven experience at Consultant level in Genitourinary Medicine
