Our client is a distinguished leader in foot care, is widely recognised for its excellence and expanding global presence. They seeking a Senior Podiatrist to join the team.
You will be working on a range of podiatry treatments including biomechanics, cryotherapy, laser nail treatments, lower laser therapy, taping, nail surgery, foot acupuncture, foot manipulation and mobilisation.
You will serve as the primary contact for the podiatry team at the clinic, addressing any issues or incidents that arise and escalating them to the Head of Podiatry as needed. Additionally, you will play a key role in providing advice, training, and daily guidance to the podiatry team.
This is a full-time position working five days a week, which includes one day on the weekend. However, there flexibility with regards to working on weekends to accommodate client's needs and there is a Financial uplift for working on a Sunday. The basic salary is between £40-£45,000 with an OTE of £60,000 plus made up from commission on all product sales, courses of treatment, insole sales.
In order to succeed at this role, you will need:
A Podiatry Degree registered with the HCPC and College of Podiatry or SMAE.
Proven experience as Senior Podiatrist, delivering a variety of foot treatments at the higher standards (Laser, acupuncture, biomechanics etc...)
Proven experience in private clinics with strong focus of exceptional customer service - minimum 3 years.

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Therapies team at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner, within scope of practice and deliver a quality clinical service; meeting the clinical and strategic needs of the hospital andprovide specialised assessment and intervention for a varied caseload of inpatients and outpatients including patients who may have complex presentations.

What are the Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist role?
To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own professional activities in line with the standards of the Hospital, Department, and the professional codes of conduct of the relevant professional body and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
To have overall accountability for the planning and management of own specialised caseload of patients and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regards to clinical priorities and use of time.
Use specialist knowledge of the clinical area to undertake therapy assessments which include an evaluation of the impact of patients diagnoses and stage of disease on their ability to function and maintain quality of life and to make clinical decisions on the most appropriate form of therapy intervention, both short and long term.

To provide specialist advice to the MDT in a range of forums for example ward rounds, MDT meetings and family meetings.
To ensure that patients have consented to assessment and therapeutic interventions in line with hospital policy and professional codes of conduct.
Maintain patient documentation, records and accurate statistical information to reflect the care provided and to meet professional and hospital standards as well as local and national guidelines.
To maintain accurate, comprehensive professional case notes for all direct and indirect patient contact.
To demonstrate flexibility in communication and interpersonal skills to overcome barriers to communication e.g. language and cultural barriers, loss of hearing/sight, distressing information, hostile/emotive situations, altered perception and cognition etc.
To liaise with and provide feedback to referrers to the service by letter and /or verbal communication.
To communicate complex patient related information effectively, to ensure collaborative working within the MDT including those external to the hospital.

What will I achieve in my first 12 months?
Starting with a structured induction plan, youll progress step-by-step until youre fully equipped with the tools and knowledge you need to start treating their patients.
Youll develop an understanding of all of the services they offer and be an important part of the multidisciplinary team, learning how to make recommendations and refer patients to the other services when required.
You will enjoy a varied caseload that includes various podiatry treatments, including Swift, Clearanail, nail surgery and biomechanical assessments.
Youll be given regular feedback, performance reviews and training opportunities. In return, youll be sharing your knowledge with your team, learning from other health professionals and supporting their growth in return and seeking ways for them to continually improve their Podiatry service.
Finally, lets not forget that you will also be attending a social event or two (or three..) which will help you build relationships and have fun.
General day to day duties and responsibilities will include, but are not subject to;
Assess each patient thoroughly to identify their ailment
Develop intricate clinical skills requiring prolonged concentration in; Wound care and ulcer debridement, Enucleation and debridement of fibrous and neuro-vascular lesions including corn and callous and other dermatological conditions.
Neurological and vascular assessment using appropriate diagnostic equipment
Minor invasive and sterile surgical procedures
Use of materials to redistribute foot pressures
Assess patients with foot health pathology including those with systemic disease (e.g. diabetes, vascular, systemic inflammatory disorders) to maximise improvement through high levels of technical skill and behaviour change management gained by additional study and/or qualification. To work autonomously from referral to discharge
Maintain clear, accurate and consented electronic records of all interventions
When an accurate diagnosis has been achieved, plan a bespoke treatment programme that has been thoroughly considered in relation to the companies MDT approach.
Communicate the diagnosis, treatment plan and the expected outcome to the patient at the very first appointment. Ensure before they leave their first session that they are clear and 'on board' with the treatment plan.
Deliver the individual treatment programme for patients based on clinical findings and sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options.
Prepare thoroughly before each follow up appointment by reading previous notes and reminding yourself of the overall treatment plan.
Review progress thoroughly at every session and alter treatment programmes accordingly, making sure that the patient is fully aware of what is changing and why.
Communicate effectively with clinical leads on any complex cases. This should be considered good standard practice.
Show all patients to reception following each appointment and give a clear and concise handover to the receptionist
Tidy, de-clutter and reset room before every patient enters

Joining us you will work closely with your team members, as well as with other organisations and agencies, to provide an integrated service in order to support vulnerable adults and their carers in a community-based setting. This community-based role requires you to visit clients in their homes, as well as other settings such as residential care and nursing homes.
Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:
Experience of working within a social care or community focussed multi-disciplinary setting that provides care, support and advice to meet people's long-term needs
Ability to complete person-centred and proportionate OT assessments including moving and handling risk assessments
An in-depth knowledge of medical conditions and the likely impact on the individual and be able to demonstrable knowledge of the impact of long term disability on the individual, carer and family
Continuing professional development. Applicants must have and maintain current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and adhere to the HCPC standards for conduct, performance and ethics.
You will need the willingness and ability to travel around the county to meet the demands of this role.

Main Duties of the Job:
Evaluate and interpret clinical and non-clinical facts using highly developed clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to clinically diagnose, formulate and implement treatment programmes and pathways of care. Intervention will be delivered in a manner that reflects choice, privacy, dignity and individuality choosing from an extensive range of treatment modalities, manual therapy techniques and disease management options.
Clinical knowledge, expertise and highly developed communication skills to reassure, persuade, motivate and empower patients and to provide support to families and carers.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments in relation to the rehabilitation goals and modify this accordingly as treatment progresses.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
HCPC registration
BSc/equivalent occupational Therapist qualification
Previous NHS experience
Practices in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health &amp; Care Professions Council
(HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
